Advocate General rejects challenge to the right to retire employees at 65
The Advocate General to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) has recommended that the ECJ dismisses Age Concern’s challenges to the current UK law which gives companies the right to forcibly retire workers aged 65 and over.

Job Advert for a five year qualified teacher is age discrimination
The Employment Tribunal in Rainbow v Milton Keynes Council decided that an advert stating that a teaching vacancy ‘would suit candidates in the first five years of their career’ constituted indirect age discrimination.
